Git Fold

Terms & licensing

This page explains the license for the Mac App Store edition and what Git Fold changes on your Mac.

App license

Unless the App Store listing displays a separate custom license agreement, the Mac App Store edition of Git Fold is licensed under Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. This page is informational and does not replace that agreement or Apple’s terms for purchases and distribution.

Using Git Fold

Git Fold can write Git and SSH configuration so that your chosen commit identity and SSH route apply to selected folders. Review the account and key before committing or pushing. An SSH public key must be registered with the corresponding GitHub account for GitHub to accept a push. The Mac App Store edition does not sign in to GitHub, change the active gh account, or manage per-account HTTPS credentials.

Changes to local settings

Removing the app does not automatically reverse Git or SSH configuration previously written outside the app sandbox. You can remove folder rules and accounts in the app before uninstalling. The private SSH key file remains yours and is not removed by Git Fold.
